In Memory

Christopher Lloyd - : 1968

Christopher Lloyd

Notice forwarded by Ralph Shapira '68, one of Chris' "since freshman year" friends.

Dear family and friends,

We are devastated to announce the news of Christopher Lloyd’s untimely passing on Saturday, February 18th at dusk. Our tender-hearted songbird, Chris — beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, father-in-law, and friend — flew to roost for the last time right as the light was leaving Saturday evening, with his wife Vassie, his twins, and Cherif by his side. In the past few months, he was transformed by a fast-moving disease that has left us all in shock, and we are in awe of his bravery in the face of it. He had just turned 77 the month prior, and had spent the holidays surrounded by family. He was married to the love of his life, my mom Vassie, for 39 years (40 in August). He was undoubtedly the heart of our family and his sweet and grand presence will be dearly, dearly missed. We love you Dad, and we’ll remember you for the rest of our days.

We are hoping to plan a memorial service for him in May, Dad's favorite month. Please stay tuned for details in the coming months. Please feel free to share this message to any who cared for our dear Chris whom we may have missed in our email list.

With care and deep sadness,
So (Sophia) with the Sinopoulos / Lloyd family
