Kathryn Alderfer Kofron died Monday, May 31, 1976, in Tucson, Arizona.  She was born February 19, 1945 to Henry and Helen Alderfer. Kathy graduated from Marion High School, Marion, Indiana, completed her undergraduate study at Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio, and did graduate work at Iowa State University at Ames, Iowa. She married John Kofron in 1967 and they had resided in Madison since 1969. She taught at Madison East High School since 1969 and was active in the League of Women Voters. She is survived by her mother, Helen Alderfer; her brother, Mark Alderfer; her sister, Deborah Alderfer, all of Marion, Indiana; her husband, John; her sons, John Alderfer Kofron and Henry Thayer Kofron, all of Madison.  —The Capital Times (Madison, Wisconsin), June 1, 1976, page 24
