Shirley Smith Kirsten ’68, a member of Jewish Voices for Peace in Berkeley, California, has alerted us to an article in the Elyria Chronicle Telegram.  It appears that Oberlin has joined the nationwide wave of protests triggered by the situation in Gaza.  More than 130 students gathered in Wilder Bowl on Monday, April 29, “to demand an end to Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories and the college’s investment in Israel.”
